The Research Department is committed to providing expertise and delivering effective research administration services, systems, and processes to support faculty and staff in soliciting, securing, and managing research project funding.
Since the university is established, the Research Department has liaised with more than 15 sponsors, including government departments and industrial funding agencies, involving over 50 local and non-local funding schemes. As of April 2024, the Research Department has reviewed and submitted over 600 applications to the funding agencies, of these, 297 research projects and 11 research platforms have been awarded.
