  • Synopsis of the Scheme

    NSFC is the most fundamental and well-recognized research foundation for basic natural science research in China. It supports a wide range of research areas and multiple levels of funding amount. Every year NSFC launches dozens of funding programs that are open up for application at the same period of time, called Assembled Application(项目申报的集中接收). And this is one of the largest-scale research funding opportunities, as of the number of awarded projects and the total funding amount.


    1. PI shall be awarded by other research funds before or experienced in conducting basic research.

    2. PI shall have a senior professional title or doctoral degree, or they shall be recommended by at least 2 researchers who work in related research fields and have the senior professional title.

    Proposal Submission

    Applicants shall submit the proposal on the NSFC’s Internet-based Science Information System (ISIS).
