11月10日至12日,首届生物、能源及材料跨校园研讨会在香港科技大学(广州)圆满举办。
本次研讨会由香港科技大学(广州)功能枢纽先进材料学域、香港科技大学化学及生物工程学系、香港科技大学能源研究院联合举办,邀请了国内外40余位来自学界和业界的知名专家学者及优秀学生作主题报告,分享各自在生物、能源及材料科学领域的研究进展,共同探讨前沿科学问题,促进融合学科发展。本次研讨会同时开放线上直播,吸引了百余名来自粤港澳大湾区多所高校、科研机构的相关人员线上参会。
11月11日上午,生物、能源及材料跨校园研讨会在香港科技大学(广州)开幕,开幕式由功能枢纽先进材料学域主任高平教授主持。
港科大(广州)副校长(教学)吴景深教授出席开幕式并致欢迎辞,港科大化学及生物工程学系主任、港科大能源研究院院长邵敏华教授,广州市材料信息学重点实验室主任、先进材料学域和可持续能源与环境学域讲座教授张统一院士,可持续能源与环境学域署理主任邱惠和教授、生命科学与生物医学工程学域主任齐众教授,材料表征与制备中央实验室主任翁禄涛教授出席开幕式并作报告。

吴景深教授首先回顾了港科大(广州)的创校历程,强调了港科大(广州)独特的“枢纽—学域”学术架构及其背后所蕴含的有关学科融合的意义。随后,他详细介绍了广州校园的整体建设情况及未来发展规划,期待港科大(广州)利用南沙独特的区位优势,促进更多跨学科、跨校园合作。

高平教授代表港科大(广州)先进材料学域全体人员对港科大化学及生物工程学系、港科大能源研究院的到访表示欢迎,对到场参与研讨会的学界和业界专家、学者及学生表示感谢,并对先进材料学域的基本情况进行了简要介绍。
随后,邵敏华教授、张统一院士、邱惠和教授、齐众教授、翁禄涛教授分别对各自负责的港科大化学及生物工程学系和港科大能源研究院、广州市材料信息学重点实验室、港科大(广州)可持续能源与环境学域、港科大(广州)生命科学与生物医学工程学域、材料表征与制备中央实验室进行了介绍,加深了参会人员对“港科大一体,双校互补”的理解。





开幕式结束后,8场各具特色的主题研讨会顺利开展。与会专家学者围绕各研讨会主题作专题报告,并与主持人、观众互动交流,共同探讨生物、能源及材料科学领域的挑战、机遇与未来,现场讨论热烈、掌声不断。
