Program type 项目类型
The program types include the General Program, Key Program, Key International (Regional) Joint Research Program, Young Scientists Fund, Fund for Less Developed Regions, Excellent Young Scientists Fund, National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, Science Fund for Creative Research Groups, Basic Science Center Program, The Research Fund for International Scholars, Tianyuan Fund for Mathematics, Special Fund for Research on National Major Research Instruments, and some of the Joint Funds Program.
主要项目类型包括面上项目、重点项目、重点国际（地区）合作研究项目、青年科学基金项目；另外还包括地区科学基金项目、优秀青年科学基金项目、国家杰出青年科学基金项目、创新研究群体项目、基础科学中心项目、外国学者研究基金项目、数学天元基金项目、国家重大科研仪器研制项目（自由申请）和部分联合基金项目等。

| 2 | By 18 January 2023 1月18日前 | 1) Applicants who need to create an account should fill in “Annex 5” and send it to thrust/hub. *Applicant with an existing NSFC information system account should modify the affiliated institution in the system. Currently our university is named as “香港科技大学（筹）” in the system; 2) Applicants can express their intention to apply by filling in "Annex 6" and submitting it to the hub/thrust. | 3 | By 31 January 2023 1月31日前 | For projects involving research ethics, please contact Cat Leung from VPRDO at the Clear Water Bay Campus to register for the online ethics review system (Tick@Lab). * The Clear Water Bay Campus will support us on the ethics review. Declared by VPRDO, the review usually takes about 20 days. Please start the ethics review as early as possible. More details about the ethics review can be found in the relevant section on the VPRDO website. 申请课题如涉及科研伦理，请与清水湾校园VPRDO的Cat Leung联系，开通在线伦理审查系统（Tick@Lab）账号。 *本学年的伦理审查工作将继续委托清水湾校园进行，所需时间约20天，请尽早提交材料，未完成伦理审查将影响基金项目的正常提交。更多伦理审查的详细信息请参阅VPRDO的网页。 | Ms. Cat Leung (catleung@ust.hk) |
| 4 | By 20 February 2023 2月20日前 | Applicants submit the first version of their proposal via the NSFC information system. The thrust/hub admins conduct the administrative review and submit the proposals to RD. RD will then conduct the first-round internal review. Applicants and their departments are encouraged to contact experienced experts in related fields to polish the proposals. 申请人通过信息系统上传第一稿申报材料，枢纽及学域完成形式审查后提交至科研处，科研处对申报材料进行第一轮审阅辅导；鼓励申请人或其所在部门联络所在领域有成功申报经验的专家对申报书进行审阅。 | |
| 5 | By 10 March 2023 3月10日前 | RD conduct the second-round internal review. Applicants should revise and polish the proposals according to the feedback from RD and submit all materials via the NSFC information system. 科研处组织第二轮审阅，申请人根据科研处反馈意见，对申报材料进行完善修改，并通过信息系统提交全部申报材料。 | |
| 6 | By 12 March 2023 3月12日前 | The final application information should be updated and confirmed by thrust/hub and sent to Yanfei Wang after obtaining approvals from the Hub Deans and Thrust Heads. 由枢纽/学域确认最终项目申报信息，统一获得学域主任及枢纽院长确认同意后，发至科研处王妍斐。 | 附件6: 2023年NSFC项目申报信息汇总表 |
| 7 | 16 March 2023 3月16日 | RD conducts the final review of all application material and the formal submission to NSFC on 17-19 March. 科研处完成申报材料审查，于3月17-19日向基金委正式提交申报材料。 |
